Tiffany and Jeremy – An Intimate Ridgeview Campground & Pavilion Wedding

I met Tiffany back in 2019 when she was the maid-of-honor for one of my AJPCouple’s weddings!  I remember that wedding and thinking how sweet Tiffany was and how much fun I had with the bridesmaids.  So, you can imagine how EXCITED I was when Tiffany reached out requesting I capture her special day.  There was no question about it, I was going to be there, taking the photos that both her and Jeremy would cherish for a lifetime!

Tiffany and Jeremy’s early June wedding was your perfect East Tennessee day – hot with clear skies! And to be honest, this couple truly deserved to have the PERFECT wedding day.  The past year was hard on us all but Tiffany and Jeremy experienced more losses than most in 2020.  However; their love, faith, and commitment to each other helped them get through those darkest moments.  As the saying goes, “It’s always the darkest before dawn.”  And their wedding day was their dawn and it could not have been a more wonderful day.

Tiffany and Jeremy were wed at Ridgeview Campground and Pavilion in Elizabethton, Tennessee.  For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of visiting these grounds, let me tell you; the view is absolutely breathtaking.  The ceremony took place at before sunset, overlooking the beautiful East Tennessee Mountains.  The mountain view was complemented by lush green foliage and it was seriously so breathtaking.  The whole venue created such an intimate, charming backdrop which is exactly what this couple was going for.  This really was the perfect venue for these two!

One of my favorite aspects of my job is seeing the unique, special ways my couples personalize their day.  And while I’ve seen many special moments that have left imprints on my heart; Jeremy did one of the SWEETEST things I have EVER seen during a ceremony.  Tiffany’s daughter, Mia, was one of her Maids-of-Honor, and during the ceremony, Jeremy turned to Mia, got down on one knee and asked her if she would take him to be her daddy.  She of course said, “YES!”.  But this touching gesture had every single guest; including me, crying!  It was one of the most genuine, heartfelt, tender moments I have ever seen at a wedding.  And I really think it was special to Mia, knowing that the man marrying her mom was also “marrying” her and would be there for her throughout her life.

After the year that Tiffany and Jeremy had, this pair wanted an extremely intimate family/friend oriented reception.  Tiffany pulled this off wonderfully!  Due to the amount of loss these two experienced within the past year, it was important to them to honor these relatives at their reception.  The couple had a beautiful table set with pictures of all the loved ones they had lost serving as a memorial.  This memorial was a sentimental reminder that they knew these relatives would be there celebrating with them if they were still here.  It was such a touching and lovely way to honor these family members.

Tiffany, you told me at the very beginning of our planning together that you were excited to walk down the aisle to Jeremy but were really excited to return from the ceremony as a family.  I was honored to witness and capture this moment for you.  I’m so blessed that you chose me to be a part of this special journey as the three of you became one family.  I can’t wait to see how your family grows and blossoms through the years!  Cheers to the newlyweds!

XOXO,

Alissa
