Cera and Will’s wedding day on May 2, 2021 was just the picture-perfect sunny day everyone had been hoping for. This day included all the essentials of a classic, southern homestead wedding – vintage style florals and shoes, a classic home with a wraparound porch, a beautiful, weathered barn, and plenty of family and friends to tie the celebration into a perfect bow!
The couple first met when they were both working as managers at the same Home Depot, and they’ve been constructing (haha!) their love story so seamlessly ever since. It was such a personal joy for me to capture this day for them for many reasons – but one particular thing that made it even more enjoyable was how they involved their precious pups Chloe and Jax, and Cera’s aunt’s Boxer babe, Bowser (he was a guest at their wedding!) ! As a boxer mom myself, my camera just couldn’t get enough of these furry faces.
Their ceremony was so intimate and special, with just their maid of honor (Cera’s best friend) and best man (Will’s dad) to stand by their side, and a few rows filled with closest family and friends. Despite the small size, the love felt was plentiful from all! Family travelled all the way to Tennessee from all over, like Missouri & Texas, to help them tie the knot!
Cera looked like an absolute princess in her cap sleeve, ballgown wedding dress. And Will was dressed like a perfect gentleman in his 3-piece navy suit and seafoam blue shirt. For her something old and something blue, Cera wore her grandmother’s gold and sapphire ring.
By the time their reception rolled around, everyone was all smiles sitting in a square-arranged tablescape, the blushing bride and proud groom sharing their first dance in the middle. And the laughter was so contagious when Will and his mom danced for the mother-son dance.
Overall, there were so many great moments of this wedding day that it’d be easier to show than to write about. Cera and Will, thank you for letting me be your wedding photographer and capturing your fantasy wedding come true! I can’t wait to see where married life takes you. Enjoy these images from the Smith’s big day!
