Cameron & Abby had their beautiful Summer July wedding at The Barn at Bee Cliff in Elizabethon, TN. The barn was just completed in June, 2020 after two years of labor and love. It is nestled on the banks of the Watauga River, right under the Bee Cliff. The space includes several different types of wood including cedar, knotty pine, red oak, ash and poplar, most recycled from an old church! The soaring ceiling (30 ft high) is accented by trusses that are strung with decorative lights. Massive garage doors open the space to the outside and the Barn is cooled by the natural air from the Watauga river. It was truly the perfect backdrop for their day.
Cameron & Abby had the most beautiful day. Everyone from the bride & groom, to the family, their friends and even myself found ourselves wiping away tears during the ceremony & reception. They both wrote the most beautiful vows to each other, that had the whole crowd tearing up. Abby’s vows included a little bit of their story, and it was truly touching.
At the reception, Abby had two BIG surprises for Cameron. First, she sat down in front of all of their friends & family and sang a song she wrote for Cameron (SERIOUSLY!). Then, the biggest surprise at all walked in the door…a mariachi band! You see, Cameron LOVES mariachi music..you’d never expect that but he does! He even listens to it in the car! This was also so fitting because these two actually met in Spanish class!! It was the most fun & thoughtful surprise I’ve ever seen on a wedding day.
Cameron & Abby, thank you for trusting me to capture your day. You were an absolute joy, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you both! I wish you all the love & happiness together 💕
