I met Keristin when I was 15 or 16 working as a cashier at a local grocery store. 7 years ago, I would have never imagined I would be a full time wedding photographer shooting her wedding! Fun fact, I actually used to be a junior volunteer at a fire department in our town, and there is where I met Alex. I left shortly after he arrived, but I got to see both of them again when we did their second son’s first birthday! We did the CUTEST cake smash portraits by a river with the most ADORABLE pirate props. Keristin told me after his portraits that Alex wanted me to shoot their wedding…they weren’t even engaged yet! Talk about a compliment! From that day, I knew I had to shoot their wedding.
Their wedding day was simple, beautiful and a little chilly, but let’s be real. I would MUCH rather have a chilly wedding than a wedding where I sweat my butt off! Their wedding reception was SUPER kid friendly, which as a mom I LOVE, they had face painting, board games and a bouncy house. A FREAKIN’ BOUNCY HOUSE! We may or may not have taken a photo or two in the bouncy house. Do you know how hard it is to get a clear photo of people jumping in a bouncy castle? I didn’t either until Saturday 😂
Alex & Keristin, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your special day. I know you were so anxious and excited to finally walk away as a family, and you’ve done it! Everything was beautiful, and I can’t wait to deliver this gallery to you! 💕
XOXO,
Alissa
