Romantic Southern Wedding

Back in April, I traveled to Knoxville to meet up with Victoria & Jeb for their engagement session. I had met her at a bridal show a few months prior, but this was the first time I really got to spend some time with them. I remember wondering if she was really that happy and charismatic all of the time? …. Or was she just an engaged girl getting excited for her wedding. Well, after getting to know her more, I quickly realized that the JOY that exuded from her was coming straight from her heart and that she was truly one of the most personable and happy people I had ever met.

It was an absolute JOY to be with Jeb and Victoria on their wedding day yesterday! They were married at the gorgeous Grace Meadows Farm in Jonesborough, Tennessee! The light was incredible, the portraits were insanely beautiful and everything went as planned. The day started with details, as usual. But every. single. detail that I pulled out of her bag, made me gasp! Everything was beautiful, sentimental, and so important to her and her family. Once I began shooting her dress, shoes and bouquet, I knew that this day was going to photograph beautifully. Those are honestly some of my FAVORITE detail shots to date!

It seems like just yesterday I was getting to know Vic & Jeb during their engagement session. I really only had about two hours to get to know them prior to the big day.  However, after spending that time together, they felt like old friends. I loved getting to know their love story, how he proposed on his family farm, and how they had their first date at the cutest little ice cream place in downtown Knoxville. So experiencing their incredible wedding and spending an entire day together….was a pleasure.

Jeb is thoughtful, genuine, well spoken, well loved and incredibly kind. His love for Victoria is so evident in every interaction with her. He blew us away with his amazing letter that he read to her right before the ceremony. Victoria’s letter didn’t allow there to be one dry eye in the room. I could feel the love and respect she has for him. They truly are perfect for each other, and I am so happy I was there to witness their unity.

The entire day was such an honor to be a part of. From the moment I walked in the door to the end of the night when I said goodbye, I loved being there. I love capturing beautiful images of GORGEOUS people but really, what I loved even more was watching Victoria’s mom Carol & her two sisters experience such a huge milestone with her first baby. It made me teary multiple times throughout the day because I can’t help but try to imagine what this day will feel like for me when Ryleigh is getting married. It gives me a whole new perspective on the day and how special it is to not just the bride and groom but to the parents as well.  I could go on and on about how much I love this family and how perfect their day was…. but I have shared WAY too many pictures in this blog post and it’s going to take you a while to scroll through them!!

Jeb & Victoria Beasley, you are an incredible couple. Your love for one another and for other people was shining so brightly throughout your entire wedding day. I couldn’t love you more and I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to be the one to save the memories of your big day!!!!

XOXO,

Alissa ❤️
