Classy Wedding at The Carnegie

GETTING READY

When I arrived at The Carnegie hotel, I walked into Ryia’s suite and could tell their wedding was going to be perfect. The mood was joyous, everyone was in good spirits, even the little ones! Ryia’s hair and makeup was done flawlessly, her dress was STUNNING and she seemed surprisingly relaxed for someone getting married in like an hour!

After getting a few shots of her getting ready, I decided to go ahead and go see how Kelvin was doing. He was a few rooms down, and all of the groomsmen were already getting ready. Usually I have to chase them down to get ready 10 minutes before the ceremony, so I was pretty impressed.

All of the groomsmen were so much fun. Their room was filled with glasses with their initials on them, cigars & the cutest candy & gift baskets.

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony was held inside The Carnegie’s beautiful grand ballroom. It smelled like vanilla and I was in HEAVEN 😍 Their ceremony was short & sweet, and very touching. I absolutely loved his reaction to seeing Ryia!

I love capturing sweet moments like these. This is Kelvin’s mom ❤️

WEDDING PARTY & BRIDAL PORTRAITS

After the ceremony, there was a break in the rain so we were able to hop outside for their wedding party portraits. Everyone was so beautifully dressed, in black & white. So classy 😍

The Carnegie is known for having an exclusive wine cellar. I have seen photos, but I’ve never been down there and oh my. I’m not a huge wine fan, but my photographer heart was screaming with excitement to shoot in there!

Isn’t she absolutely STUNNING?! I can’t get over her eyes 😍

THE RECEPTION

After we finished up their bridal portraits, Ryia changed into this super sleek black dress for their reception. In her pre-wedding questionnaire, she told me she was mostly looking forward to the party. It did not disappoint! Their reception was amazing. The food was so good, the decor was beautiful & the DJ got the guests out and dancing! They even had a photo booth!

What. a. CAKE! Every layer was a different flavor.

Congratulations again, Mr. & Mrs. Jackson!

XOXO,
Alissa ❤️
